40s-50s Art Deco Deeply Carved Bakelite Brooch Butterscotch Rose

A very attractive brooch which is in the form of a rose. This is made from deeply carved bakelite which is butterscotch in colour. The brooch is approx. 1 1/2 inches across and when viewed sideways on, it is approx. 1/2 inch deep. Old metal C clasp closure on the back. In very good to excellent vintage condition, as are all the pieces of bakelite I currently have listed. For your information the item was tested for bakelite by the original owner. I have since tested it myself and it passes the Simichrome test. Clasp is embedded into the bakelite and not glued on as reproductions and fakes are.

It has no seams and no mold lines. Passes simichrome test for bakelite. Excellent Condition - no chips, cracks or repairs.
